                    A Little Child Gone to Rest.
THE VIRGINIAN makes its sympathies to Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Irvine in the loss of 
their little son, Ellwood. He was a remarkably fine child and the special pride of 
his mother. Sympathy in such cases is poor comfort, but, such as it is, the many 
friends of these excellent people will give to the fullest measure.
