Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, May 17, 1997 
Solomon Irving Jr., 72, of the 2500 block of Hale St., died May 15, 1997.

A native of Norfolk and the son of the late Solomon and Eunice Lockett Irving,
he was the widower of Yvonne Lomax Irving and a warehouseman retired from the
Norfolk Naval Supply Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three daughters, Patrice Irving, Sandra Irving and Rose
Irving; three sons, Solomon Irving III, Robin Irving and Ornie Irving; two
sisters, Blanche Frazier and Mary Jones; a brother, Ernest Irving; two
grandchildren; nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives, including a
great-aunt, Carrie Lockett.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at
Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home
Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and will also assemble there at 10:45 a.m. Monday for
the service.
