PORTSMOUTH - Joseph D. Irwin, 80, son of Cornelius and Mrs. Cecilia Hosty Irwin, 
died Saturday at 12:15 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital.
A lifelong resident of Portsmouth, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Brennan Funeral Home.  From there, it will be taken 
for funeral services Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Burial will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Norfolk.
The rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
