Virginian-Pilot  October 29 & 30, 1951
Miss Bridget A. Irwin, 86, daughter of the late Cornelius and Cecilia Hasty Irwin, 
lately residing at 609 London Street, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at a local 
hospital.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and is survived by two brothers, 
the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Irwin, of New Bern N.C., and Joseph D. Irwin of 
Portsmouth, besides several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Brennan Funeral Home, where Funeral arrangements will be 
announced later.

IRWIN – At a local hospital, Sunday, October 28, 1951, at 4:30 p.m., MISS BRIDGET 
A. IRWIN, daughter of the late Cornelius and Cecilia Hasty Irwin. Funeral services 
will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, WEDNESDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. 
Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk. Rosary services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at 
Brennan Funeral Home, 711 Washington Street, Portsmouth.
