Virginian-Pilot  December 11, 1944
Charles Irwin, aged 65, husband of Mrs. Clara May Irwin and son of the late 
William and Mrs. Arebell Speace Irwin, a native of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and a 
resident of this section for eight months, died at the residence, 224 East Lorengo 
avenue, Pamlico, yesterday morning at 10:45 o’clock. Besides his wife, Mrs. Clara 
May Irwin, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Annabelle Parker, of Richmond; one 
son, Charles R. Irwin, of Norfolk; two grandchildren, and a brother, William 
Irwin, of Birmingham, Ala.	i
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Ocean View, of which Mr. Irwin was a member, for services Tuesday 
morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will 
be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
