DEATHS
Eugene Ives, aged 85 years, son of Amos and Mrs. Ann Norris Ives, a native of 
Princess Anne County and a well-known resident of Norfolk for 50 years, died 
yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his residence, 416 Pembroke avenue. He is 
survived by one daughter, Miss Lila Eugene Ives, of Norfolk; one son, Ernest L. 
Ives, connected with the American Foreign Service and at present stationed at 
Belfast, North Ireland; one grandson, Timothy Read Ives, and several nieces and 
nephews.
Services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
