Virginian-Pilot May 27, 1961
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - Miss Lila E. Ives, 82, died Friday at 5 p.m. in St. 
Joseph Hospital here after a long illness.
She was a native of Norfolk, Va., and for the last two years lived in Southern 
Pines. Her parents were Eugene and Mrs. Sallie Read Ives.
Surviving are one brother, Ernest L. Ives of Southern Pines, and one nephew, 
Timothy Ives of Chicago.
A funeral service will be conducted in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
Sunday at 4:30 p.m. by the Rev. A. E. Acey, pastor of Ghent Methodist Church, of 
which she was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery there.
The family will be in the home of Mrs. W. P. Old of 900 Jamestown Crescent, 
Norfolk.
