Last June 19, he received a certificate of award for "effective leadership, personal sacrifice and loyal devotion" on behalf of the association. He was also a past president of the Tidewater Drug Assn. His state presidency was in 1910- 11. A pharmacist for 47 years, he was formerly proprietor of Walker's Pharmacy and later was associated with Gray's Pharmacy for four years. He was a native of Norfolk County and spent his entire life in this area. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Santos Ives of Norfolk, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Warrington of Pembroke Plantation, Chuckatuck, and Mrs. William Jackson Breedlove of South Norfolk, and nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
