Chesapeake - Young (Pete) Edward Jackson, 85, of the 200 block of D St. 
passed away on October 24, 2013. He was born in Harnett County, NC. He was 
General Manager of Overtons Market on S. Main Street, Berkley where he 
retired after 60 years of service in 2009. He was predeceased by his 
parents, Malley Ivey Jackson and Tebe O. Jackson and his brother, Bruce F. 
Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Debi Jackson; his 
son, Ronnie Jackson; two grandchildren, Stacey Jackson-Maguire and Courtney 
Jarman; one great grandchild, Josey Maguire; seven sisters, Jeanette S. 
West, Henrietta S. Tart, Rachel J. Kempka, Flora J. Fowler, Mildred J. Fann, 
Joyce J. Phillips, and Connie J. Johnson; three brothers, Earl T. Jackson, 
Billy E. Jackson and James R. Jackson; one aunt, Treasure I. Freeman; one 
son-in-law, Leo Galle; one grandson-in-law, Joe Maguire; his ex-wife and 
friend Naomi R. Churn and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and 
friends. A funeral service will be held, 11 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 
Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave., Norfolk, VA . Interment 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk. A special thank you to ComfortCare 
Home Health and Hospice.
