Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 5, 1912

Mrs. Bettie Jackson, 4 Canton Street, died Friday afternoon at Williamsburg, 
Va. at the age of 55 years.  She was a native of North Carolina, but had 
resided in Berkley for one year.  She is survived by five children as 
follows, Mrs. L.W. Bekenread, Latrobe, Penn.; Mrs. G.A. Sawyer, Mrs. W.B. 
Sawyer, W.G. Jackson of Berkley and J.L. Jackson of Elizabeth City.
The remains arrived here yesterday morning via the Chesapeake and Ohio, and 
were met by Undertaker E. Lee Cox, who conveyed them to her late residence.
The funeral takes place tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock and the interment 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

JACKSON - At the Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, Va., Friday 
afternoon, October 4, 1912, at 4 o'clock, Mrs. BETTIE JACKSON, aged 55 
years.
Funeral at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. G.A. Sawyer, No. 4 Canton 
Street, on MONDAY MORNING, October 7, at 10:30 o'clock.  Friends of the 
family respectfully invited to attend.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, 
Berkley.
