Norfolk Journal and Guide Saturday, March 3, 1923
Mr. George W. Jackson, 827 Salter street, after a protracted illness, passed
away Friday, February 16th.  Mr. Jackson served in the U. S. Navy for over
twenty-five years.  He died at the Government Hospital at Washington, D. C.  The
body was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.  He leaves a wife, three
sons, three daughters, one grand child, two sisters, one brother and a host of
relatives and friends.
