A resident of Portsmouth, she was born in Norfolk. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Macedonia Church of God in Christ, president of the Missionaries of Macedonia C.O.G.I.C., District Missionary of Portsmouth, member of Y.P.W.W. Department, superintendent of Sunday school, member of nurses unit, prayer and Bible band, and trustees board. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra and Theresa Jackson; a sister, Joyce Spratt of North Carolina; three brothers, Alvin, Robert and Leon White of Virginia; a special aunt, Jessie Outlaw of New York; a devoted cousin, Delores Euring of Portsmouth; many friends, including three devoted friends, Karen Faults, Regina Williams and Barbara O'Neal; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, 1800 Azalea Ave., Portsmouth, with Bishop Samuel L. Green officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at 1424 Kate St., Chesapeake, the day of the service. The remains will rest at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
