Kathryn Jackson, 71, of 1205 Rosemont Ave., died Sunday, in Chesapeake General 
Hospital.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., and was the widow of Hubert 
Jackson. She had retired as a seamstress with Nelco Department Store, Norfolk 
after 40 years of service.

Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Linton, Annette Garceau and Carol 
Carlisle, all of Chesapeake, and Linda Minga of Newport News; four sons, Milton 
Brewer of Key West, Fla., William Brewer of Waterbury, Conn., Thomas Jackson of 
Knotts Island, N.C., and Connie Jackson of Marshall, Mich.; five sisters, Betty 
Cookson of Inverness, Fla., Shirley Simms of Goldsboro, N.C., Viola Pully of 
Hertford, N.C., Hazel Lahy of Portsmouth and Rhea Garrison of Huntsville, Ala.; 
three brothers, William Perry of Whitman, Mass., Wallace Perry of Hertford, N.C., 
and Wayne Perry of Slippery Rock, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic 
Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Mark B. Musser. The family will receive friends at 
Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
