Virginian Pilot, Wednesday, May 16, 1962
Norfolk - Mrs. Bettie Rebecca Jacobs, 77, of 1065 Joyner St., died Monday in her
home after a short illness.

A native of Portsmouth, she was a  daughter of Charles and Mrs. Sarah Burrus and
the widow of James P. Jacobs.

She lived in Norfolk 76 years and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Irvin of Norfolk, 10 grandchildren, 21
great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be
held sunday at 3 p.m. in Herald of His Coming Church of God in Christ by Bishop
David C. Love.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
