She was a member and worker of Memorial Methodist Church. She was a native of Perquimans County, N.C., and came here when a child. She was a daughter of the late Jonathan H. and Mrs. Mary K. Harrell Jacocks. Her father, the first fuel dealer in the Southside, was a member of the early Town Council. Surviving are one sister, Miss Estelle A. Jacocks, Norfolk; one brother, Henry M. Jacocks, Cradock. The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue.
