Virginian Pilot January 4, 2001

Jonathan Wilbur Jacocks Jr., 79, died Jan. 2, 2001. He was born Feb. 27, 1921, in 
Norfolk to the late Jonathan and Sue Covington Jacocks. Mr. Jacocks was a retired 
Coast Guard veteran having served during World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Alice Katherine Jacocks of Roanoke; a brother, William 
H. Jacocks and wife, Marie, of Norfolk; two nephews; three nieces; a great-nephew; 
a great-niece; and a great-great-nephew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Twiford Funeral Home, Chesapeake, 
is handling arrangements.
