Wilbur Jacocks, 64, for many years a dealer in coal and building materials in Berkley, died at his residence, 118 Hough Avenue, yesterday at 5:15 a.m., after three years of illness. Mr. Jacocks was a native of New Hope, N.C., but lived most of his life in Berkley, where he was a member of Lee Lodge, Knights of Pythias, and of Memorial Methodist Church. He was a son of the late J.H. and Mary K. Harrell Jacocks, and the husband of Mrs. Sue Covington Jacocks, who survives him. Other survivors are a daughter, Miss Alice Katherine Jacocks, of Norfolk; three sons, J.W. Jacocks Jr. of the Coast Guard, and C. Covington Jacocks and William H. Jacocks, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Grizzelle Jacocks and Miss Estelle Jacocks, both of Norfolk; and a brother, Harry M. Jacocks, of Portsmouth. The body was removed to Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. in Memorial Methodist Church, with the Rev. C.W. Freeman officiating. Burial will be I Magnolia Cemetery.
