Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 12, 2001 
NORFOLK - Derrell Jacox, 74, of the 1000 block of DuBose Drive, died Dec. 9,
2001. Born in Norfolk, she was a retired supervisor of Naval Supply Center and a
member of First Baptist Church Bute Street.

The widow of Calvin M. Jacox, she is survived by a son, Edgar Pledger (Dookie)
of Portsmouth; a sister, Mildred Thomas Cartwright of Virginia Beach; three
nieces, Derrell Mabry Turner (Richard) of Norfolk, Audrey T. Harmon (Stanley) of
Virginia Beach, and Juanita Thomas of New York; and two nephews, Reginald Thomas
(Wanda) of Tacoma, Wash., and Clarence Harris Jr. of Norfolk. She was
predeceased by her parents, Willie Bland and Moses Thomas.

A funeral will be held at noon Thursday at Graves Funeral Home by the Rev.
Lemuel Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
