NEWPORT NEWS — Alma C. Jakeman, 87, died May 5, 1987, in a nursing home.
Miss Jakeman, a Norfolk native, was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, Norfolk
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. John Gurkin of Norfolk; and two nephews, James 
Hope of Norfolk and R.L. Christian of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery, 
Norfolk by the Rev. Paul Watlington. Peninsula Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.
