Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch June 15, 1927
Mrs. Lina B. Jakeman, aged 65, wife of Edward F. Jakeman, Sr., and daughter of the 
late William and Ann Burnham Stevens, died yesterday morning at 11:20 o'clock, at 
the residence, 1006 Mariner street. Mrs. Jakeman was a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Edward F. 
Jakeman, Jr.; one granddaughter, Lina F. Jakeman; two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Cannon, 
and Mrs. R. C. Jacobs, and a brother, Richard Stevens.
Services will be held at H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason 
street, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor 
of Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment wil1 be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
