The Rev. Wilton W. James - Funeral services for Rev. Mr. James, 1043 Church
street, who died on Oct. 31 enroute to a local hospital, were held from St.
John’s AME Church, Bute street, on Nov. 6 with the Rev. H. M. Shields
officiating. Interment followed in the family plot of Calvary Cemetery with Hale
and Company in charge of arrangements. Rev. Mr. James was fatally stabbed by a
resident of Norfolk, who now faces a charge of of murder in Corporation Court.
