James, aged 67, widow of William T. James and daughter of Capt. George W. and Margaret Wilkins Smith, a native of Princess Anne County and for the past 34 years a well-known resident of Norfolk, died yesterday afternoon at 1:10 o'clock at the residence, 118 West Princess Anne road. Mrs. James was a member of Colonial Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church and was active in church work. She is survived by one son, W. Edward James, of Roanoke ; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Dunston; one brother, Walter H. Smith, and a niece, Mrs. W.C. Munden, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at the Colonial Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. Joseph S. Gresham, the pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
