He was a son of the late Early and Mrs. Fannie James and was a native of Norfolk. He formerly worked for Tidewater Automobile Association 10 years and was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Christ C.M.E. Church, where he was a steward and usher. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Isabella James. The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in Christ C.M.E. Church Tuesda at 1 p.m. with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
