Chesapeake - Mrs. Olive C. James, 80, of 217 Andrea Lane, died Tuesday in a 
Norfolk hospital.

A native of Danville, she was a daughter of James and Mrs. Julia N. Clark 
and the widow of Dr. Frederick W. James, Sr.

She lived in Norfolk 45 years before moving to Chesapeake last year.  She 
was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street.

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Julia E. James and Miss Sarelda I. 
James and two sons, Dr. Frederick W. James Jr. and Dr. Sidney C. James, all 
of Norfolk;  and two sisters, Mrs. G. C. Harris and Mrs. N. C. Holland of 
Danville.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 
Bute Street.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church from Hale Funeral Home at 10 a.m.  The 
family will assemble at 2820 Corprew Ave.
