Norfolk Journal and Guide, Sep 11,1965

Norfolk - Funeral services were conducted Saturday in First Baptist Church, 
Bolling Brook, by the Rev. S. B. Lewis, for Mrs. Delzora Sawyer James, 52, of 
1703 Willoughby avenue.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory 
Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Scotland Neck, NC, Mrs. James, a daughter of the late Cecil Johnson 
and Mrs. Lucy Johnson and the wife of Eugene James, died Aug. 31 in a local 
hospital.

Surviving are one son, Eugene James Jr. of New York City;  two daughters, Mrs. 
Emma Dunston of Chesapeake and Mrs. Maybelle Crudup of Norfolk;  one sister, 
Mrs. Roberta White of Norfolk;  eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
