Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch September 17, 1926
William Thomas James, aged 69 years, son of the late Col. Edward and Henrietta 
Woodhouse James, died at his residence, 118 W. Princess Anne Road, last night at 
8:30 o'clock. Mr. James, a native of Princess Anne county, is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Emma Smith James; one son, W. Edward James; one daughter, Mrs. S. H. 
Dunston, all of Norfolk; three brothers, Shepherd, Robert and John Rossen James, 
all of Princess Anne county; two sisters, Mrs. Bettie Woodhouse, of Princess Anne 
county, and Mrs. Hattie Kellam, of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Avenue M. E. Church Saturday afternoon 
at 3 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. F. G. Davis, D.D., officiating. Interment will be 
in Elmwood cemetery.
