Mrs. Elizabeth Phyllis James, widow of the late Joshua James, died suddenly at 
her residence, 1468 Dungee Street, January 26,1928.

The funeral was held January 29, at the First Baptist Church, Rev. R. H. Bowling 
officiating, assisted by Rev. G. W. Watkins of the Bank Street Baptist Church 
and Rev. Askew.

The floral designs were beautiful and numerous. 

She leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters, Mrs. Lilla Harris, Miss Leola 
James, one son, Mr. Oscar James, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, 
other relatives and many friends. Interment in the family plot at Calvary 
Cemetery.
