The Virginian Pilot Friday December 21, 1962
Mrs. Eva Gregory Jarvis, 90, of 2815 Canton Ave., widow of Henry S. Jarvis 
and daughter of Lemuel and Mrs. Lydia Jones Gregory, died in her home 
Wednesday.
A native of Camden County, N.C., she lived in Norfolk 75 years.
She was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church 70 years and was a 
charter member of its Woman's Missionary Society.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Selden S. McNeer and Mrs. Keith A. Litton of 
Huntington, W. Va.; and two granddaughters, Mrs. Virginia Jarvis Twiford and 
Mrs. Miriam Jarvis Barr, and a grandson, Richard M. Jarvis, all of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted in Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home today 
at 2 p.m. by the Rev. D.S. Moyers of the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church.  
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
