NORFOLK - Mrs. Hettie Eley Jarvis, 92, the widow of Apollos Ballance Jarvis, died 
Tuesday in a hospital.
She was a charter member of the Christian Temple, where she was for many years 
contralto soloist in the choir. She was a past president of the Woman's Society of 
the church and taught the Dorcas Twiddy Bible Class many years. She was a past 
member of the Edgewater Children's Home.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
