NORFOLK — Mrs. Lena Simpson Jarvis of 234 W. 36th St., widow of John Wilson 
Jarvis and daughter of William I. and Mrs. Mildred Coleman Simpson, a lifelong 
resident of Norfolk, died in a hospital Saturday at 8 p.m.
She was a member of Park Place Methodist Church and attended Southern Seminary 
College at Buena Vista.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Talmadge B. Holland Jr. of Newport News; two 
sons, John Simpson Jarvis of Newport News and William Wilson Jarvis of Norfolk; 
and six granddaughters.
The body will be taken from Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home to Park Place 
Methodist Church for funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
