NORFOLK — Mrs. Mamie Irene Jarvis, 97, of 3401 Granby St., the widow of Richard M. 
Jarvis and a lifelong resident of the area, died Friday at 8:35 a.m. in a 
hospital.
She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank M. Barr Jr. of Chesapeake and Mrs. 
Archie R. Twiford of Norfolk; a son, Richard M. Jarvis Jr. of Virginia Beach; six 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. Paul B. 
Wellington Jr. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive 
Chapel, tonight from 7 to 8.
