Virginian Pilot Thursday January 7 1954


Fred Brickhouse Jarvis, 68, son of the late Henry S. and Mrs. Martha Land 
Jarvis, a native of Princess Anne County and a resident of Norfolk for 65 
years, died at the residence, 731 Windsor Avenue, yesterday at 2:30 p.m.
He was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Eva Gregory Chambers Jarvis; two nieces, 
Mrs. F.M. Barr, Jr., and Mrs. A.R. Twiford, of Norfolk, and one nephew, Richard 
M. Jarvis, Jr., of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Paul G. Wiley, pastor of the Spurgeon Memorial 
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
