The Rev. H. T. Myers officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. The Gloucester native was a son of Edmond Jefferson and Mrs. Carrie Jefferson and the husband of Mrs. Mary Anne Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson was employed as a janitor for 35 years and was a member of First Morning Star Baptist Church, Gloucester. Surviving are a foster son, Clarence V. Cook of Norfolk; a brother, Bernard Jefferson of Philadelphia; and a sister, Mrs. Vera B. Luke of Norfolk.
