In Memoriam

In sad but sweetest remembrance of our loved one, Dr. W. W. Jefferson, who
departed this life February 28,1920

One year has passed,
We miss you still;
We know that God knew best,
In His infinite wisdom
He took you to dwell
Where there is perfect rest.

And while days oft’ come to pain,
With their shadows dull and gray,
But Son, Jesus Christ, our Pilot,
Will clear the mists away.

How precious the thought
That we all my recline
Like John, the beloved and blest,
On Jesus’ strong arm
Where no tempest can harm,
Secure in the haven of rest.
