Mrs. Bertha Jeffries of Norfolk funeral  was held at First Calvary Baptist 
Church on Jan. 24.  The  pastor, Dr. C. E. Griffin, delivered the eulogy.

Mrs. Jeffries had been a member of First Calvary over 50 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Pauline Jeffries, a teacher at Ruffner 
Junior high school, Norfolk;  four sons, George, Kenneth, Patrick and Thomas 
Jeffries;  ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Silas 
Rogers, New York;  and one adopted sister, Mrs. Hammond.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge of 
arrangements.
