Chester Jenkins Dies; Construction Employe

NORFOLK - Chester Jenkins, 75, of 1200 Berkley Ave., died Thursday at 7 p.m. in a
Norfolk hospital.

He was a son of Israel and Mrs. Violette Sutton Jenkins, and husband of the late
Mrs. Mary Jenkins.

He was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and had been in Norfolk for 50 years. He was a
retired construction worker.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in  Campostella.

Surviving are one brother, the Rev. J.E. Jenkins of Norfolk.

The body was taken to the Corprew Funeral Home in Campostella. Funeral services will
be conducted at the First Baptist Church, Campostella, Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the
Rev. R.L. Harris, pastor, and the Rev. M.L. Beamon, pastor of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion
Church, Campostella. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
