Virginian-Pilot August 29, 1928
Mrs. Alice Jenkins, aged 72, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 4 
o'clock. She was a native of Tennessee, but had lived in this section for more 
than 40 years. The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox and Brother, 
631 Westover avenue, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at 
10 o'clock by the Rev. George N. Bishop, pastor of Brambleton Avenue Methodist 
Church, of which Mrs. Jenkins was a member.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
