She was 88. A justice of the peace is an antiquated term for what is today known as a magistrate. Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Norfolk, lived on the 500 block of Fairfax Ave. She was the widow of Charles Edward Jenkins and a member of Christ and St. Luke's Church. Survivors include nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Claude Turner. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
