VIRGINIA BEACH — Mrs. Eugenia Burton Jenkins, 84, of 3633 Ship Chandlers Wharf, 
a former nurse at Grandy Sanitarium, died Sunday in a hospital. A native of 
Norfolk, she was the wife of Wright Wilson Jenkins.
She also was a former music teacher and vocalist and attended Leachwood Academy. 
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Henley of Norfolk; and a 
brother, John M. Burton of Virginia Beach.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church, Newport Avenue, by the Revs. Walter Lewis and Thomas Nee. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held 
tonight at 7:30 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
