Norfolk Landmark January 11, 1885
We regret to announce the death of our townsman, Mr. John P. Jenkins, formerly of 
the firm of Jenkins & Wrenn, of Norfolk, which sad event took place yesterday 
morning at the residence of the family, 1414 Washington street. He was 62 years of 
age. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence.

Additional Comments:
While the Death Register gives his date of death as January 8, from the newspaper 
obituary, it would have been on the 10th.
