Norfolk Virginian December 27, 1889
DIED
JENKINS - December 25th, at 7:15 p.m., MARY ELLOISE (sic), only child of J. A. 
and Eva T. (sic) Jenkins, aged 2 years and 7 months.
The funeral will take place from the parents' residence, 163 Chapel street, THIS 
(Friday) AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances of the family are 
respectfully invited to attend.

	The fairest, purest, loveliest,
	Are always first to go.
	The bird that sings the sweetest,
	The vine that crowns the rock,
	The glory of the garden,
	The flavor of the flock.

	Too finely framed to bear the ills
	Our ruder nature bear,

	Blest ministers of love,
	Then spread the wings we had not seen,
	And seek their home above.
