Mrs. Jenkins was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Mackey Barnes, and the wife of the late John Perry Jenkins. She was a member of St. James AME Church for 62 years. She held membership in the Order of Easter Star, Wheaton Chapter No. 73 and Beulah Tent No. 52. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Alice J. Todd and Herbert H. Todd; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Sivill; a brother, the Rev. J. A. Barnes; two step grandchildren, Hilda and Lorraine Todd; three nieces and nephews and other relatives. Out-of-towners attending the funeral were Mrs. Edna Woodhouse Simmons, Miss Barbara Simmons, Johnnie H. Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Woodhouse, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Woodhouse and Mrs. Mary Williams, all of New York, and Mrs. Josephine Walker Bell, of Washington DC. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fitchette’s Funeral Home in charge. Additional Comments: Mt.
