Portsmouth - Mrs. Mary Louise Jenkins, widow of George B. Jenkins, died Tuesday
at 2:40 p.m. in a Portsmouth hospital. She lived at 832 Emmett St.

She was a daughter of Oliver and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cannon Murry, and was a
lifelong resident of Portsmouth.

Surviving are one son, Will F. Jenkins of Gloucester County; two sisters, Mrs.
Charles Syer Sr. of Virginia Beach and Mrs. J. M. Davis of Portsmouth; one
brother, Oliver P. Murry of Petersburg; four grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The body was taken to the Brennan Funeral Home, where funeral services will be
conducted Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
