Attended by many friends and relatives, the funeral services over the body of 
William Wortham Jenkins, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Jenkins, took 
place Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock from the family residence, 35 Fairfax 
Avenue, Ghent.

Rev. Dr. W.M. Vines, pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiated 
and interment was made in Elmwood Cemetery. The floral tributes were 
exceedingly beautiful and numerous, the display of tributes being unusually 
large for one so small.

The pall-bearers were Dr. R.S. Spillman, Dr. Edwin G. Lee, Mr. John S. Jenkins, 
Mr. E.C. Gunther, Mr. J.W. DeJarnette and Mr. C.M. Barnett.

Now Sleeps in Elmwood
Last Rites over the Remains of Wm. Wortham Jenkins
Yesterday Afternoon
The funeral of William Wortham Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Jenkins, who was accidently killed Saturday, took place yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock from the parent’s residence, No. 235 Fairfax Avenue, Ghent and was very numerously attended-the gathering of friends being unusually large, the sympathy for the sorely distressed family being universal in the city. 
The service was conducted by Rev. W.M. Vines, D.D., of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, and the interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The floral tributes were exceedingly beautiful and in the greatest profusion-the display being a very unusual one for a person of that age. 
The following were the pall-bearers: Dr. Edwin G. Lee, C.M. Barnett, J.W. DeJarnette, E.C. Gunther, John S. Jenkins and Dr. E.M. Spillman.
