Virginian-Pilot  February 17, 1934
Mrs. Lucy Clarine Dodd Jenkins, aged 76 years, widow of Thomas G. Jenkins and 
daughter of the late Matthew M. and Mary Ann Gayle Dodd, died yesterday afternoon 
at 1:45 o’clock at a local hospital. Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Portsmouth, and 
had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 12 years. She is survived by one son, 
Judson G. Jenkins; one daughter, Mrs. M. B. Langhorne; three grandchildren, 
Maurice B. Langhorne, Jr., William Thomas Langhorne and Mary Lou Langhorne, all of 
Norfolk.
Remains will be taken from the residence, 138 Runnymede road, Meadowbrook, to 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, of which she was a member, for funeral services 
Monday morning at 11:30 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
