Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 11, 1993 
Horace ``Sam'' Jennings of Newtown Road, died Feb. 9, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mr. Jennings was born in Crewe, Va., and was retired from C & O Railroad. He was
a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and the Male Usher Board and was a faithful
member of the Sunday School. He was the widower of Virginia Jennings.

Survivors include one niece, Jacqueline Hill of Norfolk; and three nephews,
Junius Gills of Virginia Beach, and Orgden Charity and Leroy Charity, both of
Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church
by the Rev. Thomas Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may
join the family at 5424 Berry Hill Road. Graves Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.
