                       NO RELATIVES TO CLAIM WEALTH

    Miss Alice Jennings Dies Here Leaving Valuable Jewelry And Money in Bank

Miss Alice Jennings, 50 years old, who travelled for a publishing house selling 
a book entitled "Children's Charity," died at St. Vincent's Hospital yesterday 
morning. Coming here about three weeks ago Miss Jennings took a room at 205 
Boush Street. Shortly afterward she became ill, but later improving went to 
work. A relapse set in at the start of which she became violently ill and about 
ten days ago was carried to St. Vincent's Hospital unconscious. She never 
regained consciousness.
She was a native of Canada, said to have been reared by foster parents and at 
the time of her death not to have had a living relative. In  her personal 
effects were found valuable jewelry, including three costly diamonds; and bank 
books indicating several thousand dollars to her credit.
She had friends in Newbern, N.C. and among her belongings was a card asking that 
in case of accident, illness or death the family of H.S. Harper, of that place, 
be notified. Mr. Harper has been notified and the body and personal belongings 
are held pending decision of what disposition shall be made of them. The jewels 
and bank books have been delivered to the police.

JENNINGS, aged 51 years.
Services at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartment, No. 520 Freemason Street, TUESDAY 
AFTERNOON at 2 o'clock. Friends are invited to attend.
