NORFOLK — Mrs. Elvina M. Jessee, 78, of 1531 Rush St., the widow of Howard H. 
Jessee and a Norfolk County native, died Thursday night in a hospital.
She lived in this area all of her life and retired in 1964 from Virginia 
Electric & Power Co. after 35 years. She was a member of St. Columbo 
Presbyterian Church of Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn G. Cooke and Mrs. Kathryn J. 
Austin, and a sister, Mrs. Charles J. Turrisi, all of Norfolk; two brothers, 
William D. Marrow of Virginia Beach and Paul T. Marrow of Westmoreland County; 
two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Nibs Stroupe and the Rev. Caroline Leach. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home 
tonight from 7 to 8:30.
