The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, October 11, 1961

NORFOLK - Thellir Johnakin of 2642 West Ave., died Tuesday at 11 a.m. in a 
Norfolk hospital after a long illness.

He was a son of the Rev. and Mrs. Charles Johnakin and was born in Bertie 
County, N.C. He lived in Norfolk more than 50 years.

He was a retired longshoreman and a member of Eureka Lodge and Queen Street 
Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held in Hale Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m., with 
burial in Calvary Cemetery.
