M. Madeline Johnson - Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson of Philadelphia PA who
died at the home of her parents at 618 E. Berkley avenue, were held Wednesday,
Oct. 8 at St. Marks Christian Church with the Rev. R. T. Adams, pastor of Mt.
Zion Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her mother, Mrs. Laura Epps, stepfather, Willie
Epps;  three sisters, Mesdames Cleo Evans, Annie Williams and Florence Long; 
five brothers, William, Frank, Rudolph, Samuel, and Louis Gilliam;  three aunts,
Mesdames Laura Hobson, Eleanor Watson and Carrie Winder;  seven uncles, Hunter,
Joseph, and James Jernigan;  Frank, Stark and Len Gilliam. (only 6 uncles listed
in obituary)

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Chatman Funeral Home in charge.
